Home Decor: Shopping, Top 10 Stores to Shop for Furniture

If you are like me, you probably enjoy shopping. For me a perfect Friday night includes a trip to a furniture store. I have to admit that when I go to my local mall, the first two stores I hit are two furniture stores. What can I say I am a decor-holic.
Today I wanted to share with you my top 10 furniture and decor stores/websites. The list does not have a particular order. I love all the stores equally and love visiting each of these for separate reasons. With that says, here it goes:
1. IKEA http://www.ikea.com/us/en/ Unfortunately this store is too far away from where I live to go on a weekly basis. I like making a quarterly or semi-annual list and shop with that list in mind. I particularly like it for pillows, kitchen accessories and organization items.
(Bought these frames and white box at Ikea)

2. HomeGoods http://www.homegoods.com/ Can you say bargain? I enjoy buying quality items on a budget, who doesn't right? This is a great place if you are looking for vases, candles, or pictures. I always head to HomeGoods when I am going to entertain. You can acquire pretty pieces that go along a theme at an affordable price (Hello Easter!)

(Steal! Mikasa plates!)

3. OneKingsLane https://www.onekingslane.com/ is probably one of the most fabulous online shops I have come across in a very, very long time. You will have to sign up with your email but they boast the most unique finds. You can even search for antiques or vintage pieces and specific styles. Vintage Jazz Glam is probably my favorite.

4. ZGallerie http://www.zgallerie.com is one of those ultra sophisticated stores. There is decor for your bedroom, your living room and dining room. I enjoy all the home accessories. ZGallerie understands all trends, they always seem to be a little ahead of the curve. If you are looking for some glam'ed up pieces for your rooms this is a good place to start.
(Chair that is on my to buy list at ZGallerie.)

5. Jonathan Adler http://www.jonathanadler.com/ When I finally made my way into the Jonathan Adler store I just wanted to move in. I felt right at home. There is no one way to describe it. Every piece is special, from the pottery candles to the chairs, I love it all.
(Recent purchase was this great smelling candle and the ceramic animal coasters. I love elephants.)

6. Horchow http://www.horchow.com/ first started as a luxury catalog without a brick and mortar location. The furniture collection was introduced to Neiman Marcus in the 80's. Today the Horchow collection furniture can be purchased at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and naturally Horchow's website. I love exploring their living room section.

7. West Elm http://www.westelm.com/ is a store that supplies urban style furniture at a relatively affordable price. Most furniture pieces are available in a variety of finishes. They have home stylists on site who can assist you with the selection of the right piece of furniture for a specific room or the right fabric for your next sofa.
(My sideboard/mini bar was acquired at West Elm, it's very versetile and I use it in different ways. Stay tuned for a post about decorating your sideboards.)

8. Crate & Barrel, http://www.crateandbarrel.com/ currently has some great sweepstakes and 20% off on dinnerware. They offer quality pieces at good price. In my experience they have really awesome customer service. I can recommend their sofas, chairs, beds and garden furniture. Their stuff will last!

9. WorldMarket http://www.worldmarket.com/ is often overlooked when it comes to furniture, but I have to say that their dining sets are pretty affordable and stylish. You can find some great tables, dining benches and chairs. They also have a good variety of wool carpets. If you have one close to you, check it out, even if you walk out with bags and bags of European candy and wine, it's worth the trip!

10. Pottery Barn http://www.potterybarn.com/ offers a more traditional variety of furniture lines and home accessories. They also offer in-home styling. Their team is always very helpful. The furniture is well made and comes in many fabrics and colors. They have a number of great dinnerware collections and offer a wide variety of outdoor furniture and accessories.
